Congrats Team Madama Serra!

Congratulations to Kareem Cole who earned his BLUE BELT at the advanced class on Saturday. Nice job and keep up the good work.

Congratulations to all of our teammates who competed at the Cherry Hill Challenge on Saturday. We had a great showing and took home lots of medals/swords again.
Luke Morgan took 4th place in his blue belt division and silver in no gi.
Little Richie Longo took silver in the kids gi division.
Connor Panzarella took gold in the kids gi division and silver in his no gi division.
Sang Son took gold in his gi division.
Rob Weir took gold in both his gi and no gi divisions.
and, Tyler Rowe took home silver in both gi and no teen divisions.
Not bad at all guys. Now lets go get ready for NAGA. See you at practice.

Holiday Class Schedule

I will be away from Friday July 3rd through Sunday July 5th. The school will be open for all scheduled classes during these days but they will be run as open mat sessions. have a great and safe Independence Day everyone.

Congrats Team Madama / Serra!

Congratulations to Team Madama Serra member Mike Lanzano who took 3rd place at the Abu Dhabi World Submission Wrestling Eastern Qualifier on Saturday June 13th. Mike fought hard against some very tough opposition to earn his medal.

Congratulations to Team Madama members for their participation in a talent packed Grapplers Quest this past Saturday and Sunday. First timer Luke Morgan got his feet wet with two tough matches winning his first by submission and falling a little short in his second going down on points. Dave Terhune put on a solid performace in a tough division also going one and one. Mindy Niepielko put forth a good effort and showed vast improvement in her overall progress. Big congrats to Miriam Nieves who won her first 2 medals in one day winning her weight class and taking 3rd in the open division. Miriam dominated for the first place victory submitting all of her opponents. Sang Son did it again taking his second gi title also in dominant fashion. Finally, Richie Parella fought his way through four tough matches on his way to his first medal earning the bronze.

Congratulations Team Madama Serra

Dennis Ryan and Dan Peoples both competed at the tournament on Saturday and both took home a medal. Dennis competed in the Purple Belt division and won the silver. Dan competed on the No Gi Intermediate Heavy and won the Gold. Good job guys. Lets go out and win some more at the next one.

We had one more tiny competitor do well at the NAGA World Championships this past Sunday. Young Richie Longo fought through two tough matches to earn his first medal ever taking home the Bronze. Congratulations to Little Richie. Keep up the good work.

Congrats Team Madama!

We had another good tournament showing at the NAGA World Championships Saturday. Congrats to all Team Madama members who attended. It takes great heart to even train jiu jitsu. Then to step up and compete shows even more. Everyone looked great. Please congratulate your teammates when you see them. Here are some of our place winners.
